Place a white sheet of paper under the tree and thump on a limb with your finger. Do you now see tiny, just barley visible little red bugs crawling around on the paper. I have to use my reading specs. If there are you probably have spider mites, not really a spider and they suck the life out of your tree. You'll notice the foliage getting paler.. You can wash a lot of them off with the spray from a garden hose. You can use Safer Soap(brand name)., or any insecticide safe for junipers. If they are real spiders and your plant is'nt being damaged then there is no proplem. They will probably be eating something we don't want anyway. Let us know how this comes out. 3xzsucof 01-30-2009, 02:14 AM i dont know what hey were i bought some insecticide and i managed to kill em off! |
