Hi, and welcome to the forum! Bonsai is a great hobby, if you have recently stumbled upon it there is a lot to learn. There is so much to learn about bonsai, even the best artists are still learning. It's not uncommon to see new members apologise for their lack of experience or knowledge before posting a question. Sometimes they are afraid to post a question for fear of being looked down on as the stupid newbie. Some places this is common to find, the I know more than you so I am better than you attitude you might find is not helpful to the beginner. This attitude will make you not want to ask questions, but asking questions is the only way you will learn besides trial and error. I want you to remember these people who speak down on you were in your shoes once, they are no greater than you. They are acting selfish, and demanding respect for their knowledge. This is not what bonsai forums are about. A bonsai forum is a place to learn and share your knowledge. I will never demand respect for an answer to questions, you are the future of bonsai. Without you, bonsai will not be around for the future generations. I feel it is my duty to pass on all my knowledge to others, as it was passed on to me. I hope more people in the bonsai community will take up this open willingness to share knowledge, rather than hide it. I hope I can learn from each of you, as I hope to help you too. With that in mind, lets hear those questions!
