Hey guys, I just went to a bonsai class today and got to "create" a nice juniper bonsai in the informal upright style. It was my second bonsai class I've been to (I was the youngest in both, lol). Here are some pics below of the new tree, and further styling advice would be appreciated. :D :top:

Not too shabby!...Needs a little refinement, but it's off to a good start

Well, I cant wait till next spring when my trees start growing again! anyway, what do you think of putting some shari on the trunk starting from the jin on that left branch?

Alas, its dead now. :( I think its roots rotted over the winter or something, since when I dug the tree out of the ground it was already dead. Oh well. At least I got another juniper from Shopko that I styled and is doing fine...
