Your elm is beautiful! Do you have any other kinds? I have just received a beautiful wisteria in tree form and it still has a few flowers on it. i got to get better at putting pictures on line. I am not very computer savey.
Thank you for posting that lovely picture!

I would love to see your black pines! What size are they? Do you find the pines are easier to raise than the others? I have never done the pines myself but would love to try one. I have a few project plants going and they seem to be coming along fine. I am currantly doing some birch trees and a few weepers.

Hi Wayne,

I purchased a few of the weepers from a local greenhouse as saplings (reg size) and have pruned them back small. 2 i bought as prebonsai from a bonsai supplier. I like them as you can do so much with them. One of my weeping cherrys i am doing as a cascade style, and i have 2 weeping willows (from clippings) a weeping pussy willow i got that from an ageway store this summer (about 1 1/2 foot tall). My weeping cherrys i get from my full size tree out infront of my house (pink flowers). I take snippings all the time and have a few more on the way.
I dont see a lot of weeping trees in most bonsai gardens but they are one of my favorites. I find them easy to work with. Although i do like get some of my subjects from the wild and have done some of the birchs collected some wild maples and oaks as well as weeping willows.

I have outgrown my greenhouse and are getting a bigger one next year lol.
