I was given a serissa foetida at Christmas, before I was really ready. I've tried all the (conflicting) care advice I could find, but I lost leaves, then a branch, and I'm down to one leaf, sort of green, and no new growth. I hate to lose it and I'm thinking it's time to check th roots, cut back everything that seems dead and try to save something. Is it already too late?

I'm in the same boat, My Serissa hasn't quite gone that far
half the leaves are brown & the rest are greenish, my old flat mate left it when he left & I havn't a clue how to take care of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I finally took a look at the roots. Nothing! It was so bad I'm wondering now if it was already dead when I got it. There was no root ball, just some fibers that fell away with the soil.
Serissa needs water. Not like a bog, but it souldn't dry out (not a problem if you have good drainage.) It likes humidity so keep the humidity tray moist, and mist twice a day. It needs lots of light, but not hot, direct sun. Finally, keep around 60F. Maybe a revitalizing agent like Rainbow liquid would help with the stress. If it doesn't show improvement don't wait, check the roots- if they're healthy it may be saved. Hey, aren't there any indoor specialists out there who can help? Good luck! I hope you have a happier ending than I had.:(
